The year is coming to an end and the lists are beginning. Best Gifts for 2015. Most Important Resolutions To Make. Best Leadership Blogs of the Year. And though I’m guilty of doing the same (The Millennials Are So 2015 – It’s Time for Generation Z!) I wouldn’t dare say this is a comprehensive list of notable leadership blogs of 2015. I compiled this list based on those writers who use everyday, relevant life tips to make people into better leaders. These blogs are far from book based, theoretical learnings. And though they make for a great foundation for any CEO, they definitely aren’t the way of remarkable leaders find success today.

Guy Kawasaki

Guy’s taken the definition of being a social leader to a whole new level. You could follow him on all his social media accounts and always find interesting things to read. Whether he’s posting about his latest trip to Hawaii or about street musicians he keeps his content interesting. And then of course there’s the fact that he’s the master of writing on “How to Change the World”. His work is always fresh, relevant and informative.

Michael Hyatt

When someone’s been featured in Forbes, Businessweek, The Wallstreet Journal, CNN AND The New York Times you know they’ve got substance in their work. And talk about having all the right ingredients for being virtual mentor. The resources provided on Hyatt’s site not only include a blog, weekly podcast and eBooks, but he also provides the Platform University which is a special membership website with even more unique resources. Really brilliant stuff.

Terry St. Marie

“More Human” style of leadership has proven to be the way forward these days. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: autocratic leadership is soon going to be archived and only read about in the history of leadership. There’s information for people just starting their leadership journey and articles for those who are well into the deep end. I particularly like the real life angles he puts on leadership such as “How to Spin a Huge Mistake into Leadership Goals” (we’ve all made unbelievable mistakes haven’t we?) and The Real Secret of Life (there’s no way you’ll be a good leader until you’ve got your life figure out at least a little bit).

Eric Barker: Barking Up the Wrong Tree

I’ve been reading this blog for a long time. Eric’s work has been featured in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine amongst many others. I think the reason that his work is so popular and helpful is because it’s about getting your life on the right path. From managing your temper to working on procrastination issues, Eric sends out tips that anyone can apply to make themselves better leaders.

Dan Rockwell

Starting off in leadership at just 19 years old, Dan’s definitely got the experience to guide people on their leadership journey. And because he keeps all his posts short, at just 300 words, it’s ideal for people who need a regular stream of food for thought to keep them on their toes. He basically aims at making people’s lives better by interacting with them. So whether you decide to subscribe to his blog or follow him on twitter, you’ll be getting golden nuggets of leadership info.
